How much do you charge per illustration?
I typically charge depending on the scope of the project and the time constraints needed to complete it, so it’s not easy to just list prices here as a menu. Please note: Rush jobs (2 weeks or less time) will be charged considerably more or not accepted. If you want to hire me to illustrate your Christmas card, don’t wait until November!
I just wrote a picture book! Will you illustrate it?
Congratulations on writing your picture book! That’s very exciting! You don’t need an illustrator to submit your book to an agent or a publishing house. Editors and Art Directors usually have a vision of who the perfect illustrator is when they take on a new manuscript.
I’m self-publishing. Will you illustrate my book?
Thank you for thinking of me, but I’m not available to illustrate self-published books.
I want an illustration in [this artist]’s style. Can you do that?
