This week was a lot of fun. Over the last month there have been a lot of distractions in my personal life, and this week felt like a victorious return to normalcy.
So if you’re just catching your breath at the end of the week too, here’s what you might have missed:
I opened up a Facebook page!
If you like Facebook and find it easier to click links than to type in all those pesky letters that lead to here (https://autumnseybert.wordpress.com -Follow me please!) then you’ll LOVE my Facebook page. Sometimes I’ll take requests for topics while I play with new programs or techniques. This week I got a request for a unicorn drinking a forty. I admit, as a devout unicorn fan, this really pushed my creative boundaries, so thank you Sia, for giving me a “think outside the box” moment. Click here to get to my Facebook page.
Next, I’ve really enjoyed participating in #kidlitart chats each Thursday night at 9:00pm EST. If you’re an aspiring children’s book illustrator, this chat is a MUST. You meet wonderful people in the industry who share a lot of really great information, stories, jokes, and more. Also, you can follow me on twitter while you’re there! @autumnseybert If you follow along the chat, I definitely recommend using Tweetdeck. You can sign in using your browser without having to pay. Mobile apps require a download fee.
Some other art you may have missed this week:
Finally, I’m building up enough work to start selling prints and other merchandise through Society 6. If you have a favorite piece of mine that you’d like to see for sale, please let me know!
In general, I’d like to throw it out there that feedback and critiques are always welcome here, whether it’s related to the work or the site itself.
That’s this week’s wrap up! You have a lot of links to click on (2!) so I look forward to you “liking” my page and following me 🙂 (notice the subtlety of my hinting-NOT!)
Have a wonderful weekend.
