Themes

Well, the fancy theme was a bust. After struggling with it for the last couple weeks, I finally threw my hands in the air and said “FORGET THIS!”

Luckily, WordPress understands that not all upgrades are really what the user is looking for. Thanks to a 30 day refund policy, I was able to cancel the “upgrade” and get my money back.

I’m not sure what’s next this week. I may stick with this particular theme, and I may look for a new one. Right now I’m focused on getting the pages set up and working properly. Then I’ll worry about the looks.

The good news is now that I’m not spending all my energy fighting the darn format, I can focus more on the content and getting things moving in a forward direction. I’m finishing the month with two dog portraits, and will hopefully have everything set for y’all by then 🙂

  1. WordPress is still about the best CMS around, bar none. I keep wanting to change themes myself, but I’m stuck in the paradox of choice: there are so many themes available, I get overwhelmed just scrolling through them, so I throw my hands up in the air and don’t change anything!
